THNG (ทีเอชเอ็นจี) หรือ Thailand Networking Group

คือ เครือข่ายทางความคิดที่สนับสนุนให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ในแง่มุมต่างๆ ที่หลากหลายไม่ว่าจะเป็น ด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ด้านสังคมศาสตร์ ด้านมนุษยศาสตร์ และอื่นๆ เพื่อนำไปสู่การบูรณาการในการแก้ไขปัญหาและพัฒนาสังคมไปพร้อมๆ กับการเจริญเติบโตของเทคโนโลยี นอกจากนั้น THNG ยังมุ่งหวังที่จะเป็นเวทีหนึ่งที่จะผลักดันให้นวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นจากการแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นจากเครือข่ายองค์ความรู้ต่างๆ ให้นำไปสู่การใช้ประโยชน์ได้จริงอย่างมีประสิทธิผล

THNG ได้รับการสนับสนุนโดยมูลนิธิศูนย์สารสนเทศเครือข่ายไทย ซึ่งมีวัตถุประสงค์หลักเพื่อสนับสนุนการศึกษาวิจัย และการพัฒนาเกี่ยวกับอินเทอร์เน็ตในประเทศไทย พร้อมทั้งพัฒนาทรัพยากรบุคคลให้มีความรู้ความเชี่ยวชาญในด้านเทคโนโลยีอินเทอร์เน็ต อันจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประเทศ และให้คำแนะนำแก่สังคมเพื่อให้เกิดการทำงานร่วมกันในเชิงการดำเนินการเพื่อสาธารณะประโยชน์ โดยร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานภาครัฐ สถาบันการศึกษาวิชาการ เอกชน และองค์กรการกุศลอื่น ๆ และใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเป็นเครื่องมือหลักในการพัฒนางานและอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ

Thailand Networking Group or THNG

THNG as announced to be the network of “ IT for society ”, aims to promote knowledge and ability to apply Information Technologies integrated with social development especially in term of emergency situation. By this vision, THNG is sets to provide camping event with environment and content that would encourage students, general public sector, IT people and social activists to meet, build relationship and exchange various viewpoint of their knowledges. The ultimate goal of being THNG, IT for society, is to drive the quality of people livings be more equally in holistic through the capacity of Information Technology. In the mean time, by product of THNG camp is expected to bring about the effectiveness of action for society development while provide the real circumstance to Information Technology test and experiment which is on whole expected to make all the society stakeholders better-off.

In term of purposes, THNG camp is created to encourage the exchanges of knowledges in various aspects particularly the hybrid of social activist viewpoint and academic of Information Technology viewpoint. THNG also try to promote leaderships among its new-generation members in order to serve the society with the frontier of Information Technology development hand in hand. Moreover, THNG intends to be a forum that could push for utilizing new innovation to enhance the effectiveness of emergency problem such as in natural disaster situation.
